MYDC X EREMIA CREATIVE CONSULTING

Empowering Youth Through Storytelling, Technology & Voice

Eremia Creative Consulting partnered with MYDC Manchester Youth Development Center to design and lead two creative programs that helped students find their voice and tell their stories in powerful ways: Kids In Color (a podcasting club) and Storytelling Through AI (a digital storytelling series).

Both programs centered on helping students build confidence, develop real-world skills, and understand how technology, culture, and creativity connect.

KIDS IN COLOR PODCASTING CLUB

Podcasting Workbook

Available to watch on the ManchesterYouth YouTube Channel

Kids In Color was more than a podcast—it was a platform for students to speak their truth. Led by Eremia, students learned how to create their own podcast from start to finish.

They learned how to:

  • Operate podcasting equipment
  • Understand the cultural and personal power of voice
  • Plan, script, and structure thoughtful podcast episodes
  • Develop a podcast brand with visuals and messaging
  • Understand the power and beauty of collaborations

Each episode reflected the heart of the students—colorful, bold, and full of life. Their stories are now live on the ManchesterYouth YouTube channel for the community and beyond to hear.

STORYTELLING THOUGH AI

Storytelling Through AI Lead Collaborators: (From left to right) Lauren Brown, Dr. Angela Stewart (University of Pittsburgh), Dr. Tara Nkrumah (University of Arizona), Dr. Erica Roland (University of Texas at Arlington)

In partnership with researchers from The University of Pittsburgh, The University of Texas at Arlington, and The University of Arizona, Eremia designed and delivered a creative tech program that explored how young people interact with artificial intelligence.

In this program, students:

  • Learned the basics of artificial intelligence and its presence in daily life
  • Explored data privacy and digital responsibility
  • Recognized artificial intelligence biases
  • Engaged in meaningful conversations about how tech shapes culture and learning
  • Used AI-powered tools to create original Story Reels in small groups and creative teams

This experience encouraged students to think critically, work collaboratively, and express themselves in imaginative and creative ways.

THE IMPACT

Both programs lit a spark in the students—inviting them to think deeply, create boldly, and speak freely. Whether through a podcast episode or a digital story, they learned that their voices matter and that they have the tools to shape the world around them.

At Eremia Creative Consulting, our mission is simple: to reignite the spark in others. Through our work with MYDC, we saw that spark catch fire.
